Artificial Intelligence for Human Resources

Course Overview & Objectives

Artificial Intelligence is transforming Human Resources by automating repetitive administrative tasks and improving decision-making at every stage of the employee lifecycle. Instead of manually screening CVs or relying on subjective interpretations, HR teams can use AI to analyse applications, extract skills, compare profiles, and highlight the strongest candidates within seconds. AI also supports performance monitoring, employee engagement, skills development, and workforce planning—helping HR professionals focus on meaningful, strategic work rather than administrative overload.

Examples of AI use in HR:

  • Recruitment: automatically parses CVs, extracts skills, compares profiles to job descriptions, and generates candidate match scores.
  • Selection: ranks candidates based on job fit and highlights missing or desirable competencies.
  • Performance & engagement: identifies trends, skills gaps, and feedback themes that would take a human much longer to analyse.
  • Learning & development: recommends personalised training paths based on role, performance, or skills progression.
  • Workforce planning: analyses turnover, capacity, and skill distribution to support HR decisions.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the main applications of AI across HR functions, with a focus on recruitment and selection.
  • Use practical AI tools for automated CV screening, candidate scoring, and role matching.
  • Evaluate how AI can be integrated responsibly into their own HR processes.
